Hawaiian Grilled Cheese

This recipe makes 1 sandwich. A sandwich contains 8g of whole grains.

Ingredients

2 slices Nature’s Harvest® Made With Whole Grain White bread

2 slices ham

2 slices mozzarella cheese

4 slices pineapple

1 tbsp. butter 


Directions

  1. Spread the butter on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Place the Mozzarella cheese, Ham, and pineapple on top of one bread slice. Then place the other bread slice on top.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat and add the sandwich. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown. Flip the sandwich over. Continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
  4. Remove the sandwich from the skillet and cut into quarters. Serve, with the crusts on or off, depending on your child’s preference.
